Valuation of Physicians' samples for Excise Duty

The hearing on Valuation of Physicians' samples for Excise Duty took place on 1st February '06 at the Bombay High Court before the Division Bench of Hon'ble Dr. Justice S. Radhkrishnan and Hon'ble Justice J. P. Devdhar. Mr. Vikram Nankani appeared on behalf of IDMA.

The Court was pleased to adjourn the matter for 2 weeks. The Court was also pleased to order the Counsel for the Department, Mr. S. S. Pakale, to take instructions from the Government regarding the withdrawal of the impugned Circular. The Court also orally ordered the Counsel for the Department to maintain status quo till further orders are issued.
